Project 52/6
This weeks dress is another one of those effortless numbers that are perfect when you need to get ready in a rush (I seem to be eternally doing this) or when you are just having one of those days! I am slightly obsessed with brighter shades at the moment and this pop of colour on the top is great next to ones face, second obsession is nude tones, (I am aware how contradictory that is!) this obsession is not new but just so happens the two compliment each other, how handy!
As always this dress is available to purchase through facebook (tonight from 8pm) at below half price for a week before being listed on Etsy at full price. As this is a one off, sale goes to first in! See facebook for more details.https://www.facebook.com/sarahhortondesign

Project 52/5
This week with the wintery weather setting
in I felt inclined to create something slightly more suited to the climate. On a fabric shopping mission I saw this
fabric which just screams winter to me and had to get it. Team this with a cute jacket and boots for a
winning winter ensemble or ditch the jacket and expose the cut out back when
you are in a well heated environment.

purchase through facebook (tonight from 8pm) at below half price for a week
before being listed on Etsy at full price.

Project 52/4
Dazzling
This week Emma Highfield and I have been working on a
dance costume for our gorgeous friend and model Hannah Carson who is a
contestant in Miss World New Zealand, something slightly different for me! Whilst it was not as straight forward as I
had imagined once we got to the bedazzling part it all came together and I must
say it is pretty amazing. So since then
all I have wanted to do is bedazzle everything I can get my hands on! This
weeks dress was no exception, inspired by the brightness of dance costumes I
wanted to create something that was a bit more fun but still elegant.
As always this dress is available to
purchase through facebook (tonight from 8pm) at a reduced price for a week
before being listed on Etsy at full price.

Project 52/3
This week’s dress is what I wish I had in
my wardrobe last weekend. I spent crazy
hours last week finishing off my new collection, so when it came to the
weekends obligatory outings (leaving parties etc, you have to attend!) I really
couldn’t be bothered trying to piece together the perfect ensemble! This dress
was sadly in my head which made it even more challenging. I love that it is comfortable and a bit fun
but still elegant, and the neck detail means you don’t have to worry too much
about jewellery. Now if only I had made
this last week!

being listed on Etsy at full price. As

Project 52/2
Gown Time
Watching the Oscars this week (oh my there
were some beautiful gowns, and let’s be honest, some questionable decisions too)
I felt I had to make something a little more glam! I find
I am often inspired by fabrics, and when searching through my collection of
lace I found these wee bits of beautiful beaded lace and knew they had to be
used!
This gown will be available to purchase
through facebook from 8:30pm this evening, see facebook ( www.facebook.com/sarahhortondesign)
for more details.

Lovely Ladies
So, first week of Project 52!
With Auckland Cup Week just around the corner I have been doing a lot of work on outfits for the races. I love that such occasions give us women a chance to really dress like ladies. This inspired me to create something a little lady like.
This one-off dress was available to purchase through facebook but you have to move fast these days! She sold within minutes. Dress #2 will be up next Wednesday at 8:30pm, see facebook for more details.

Dreaming of Paris
Dreaming of Paris is a collection of made to measure gowns. I was very lucky to work with such a talented team, special note has to go to the gorgeous Billie Holland who sadly left NZ the day after this shoot in the pursuit of overseas adventures and Saadi De Silva for pulling it all together. So many pics from this shoot it was hard to pick just a few, so I added a few more. xx
